Coppelia: The Australian Ballet

It was my very first theatre experience..Back in KL, Rosy n a few of my other frens did try to convince me to watch theatre at Istana Budaya but i was just not interested..But, i finally decided to watch a theatre or rather a ballet act here in Sydney..Reasons? Well, 1st it's not a normal theatre..It's a ballet act..I love to watch ballet act in a movie...(Love the cute tutu dress)..2ndly, it was held at Sydney Opera House (I always wanted to watch a theatre in Sydney Opera House)...

So we went there last week..Surprisingly there was no dress code for the event..So we can actually wear jeans but i didn't wear jeans of course as it would seem so inappropriate to wear jeans...The ballet act was entertaining..However, when the act was about to end, (the part where the main casts were about to get married) as the lead actor was trying to lift up the lead actress, something happened..The actor suddenly screamed in pain n dropped the actress..Honestly, i thought it was part of the act but it wasn't because the actress was seen asking the actor "are  u okay?" n suddenly they pull down the curtain..The audience was rambling..The actor must've sprained his arm or something..

When they finally lifted up the curtain, they have changed the main casts..The groom's bestman n the bridesmaid became the substitutes...Well, there goes my first theatre experience..Rosy told me that she has been watching theatre so many times before and this was the first time that such a thing ever happened...In a few weeks time, we are gonna watch another theatre which is the alltime favourite CATS theatre..Hopefully, nothing will happen to those cats..Huhu

False fire alarm yet again and again and again.......

Last Saturday we had another 9-5pm class..We were about to enter our class, when i heard this  strange sound....

Me:Bunyi ape tu?

Rosy: owh, xpe..kat sini hari sabtu mmg byk bunyi pelek2..

Me: Huh??? (Tp since die duk Sydney lame dr i, i caye jela kn)..

Then as we were entering our class, we heard a "bip bip" sound..One of the Caucasian girls asked Rosy whether we need to evacuate..I cant remember wut Rosy told her but me and another Caucasian girl read out the evaquation instruction..

The Caucasian girl: (Looking at the instruction) It says here that if we hear the "bip-bip" sound, then we must prepare to evacuate..If we hear the "whoop whoop" sound, then we must evacuate the building immediately..

Me:  Hmm...(Trying to figure out whether the sound is a "bip2" sound or a "whoop2" sound..)

Everyone else was figuring out the same thing (semua senyap)..It was hilarious had it not been a serious situation as we cant really differentiate between a "bip2 sound and a "whoop2" sound..Plus the sound was different from Malaysia Hall's fire alarm system...However, a few minutes afterwards, we heard the "whoop2" sound (just like Msian Hall's alarm system)...And I figure out that this must be the sound that requires us to evacuate the building immediately...

And so we evacuated the building and fire fighter came to inspect everything..It was a false alarm...However, when we were back in our room, the building keeper announced that we had to evacuate yet again because something triggered the alarm system..Another fire brigade came to inspect the building but found nothing..*sigh* Masuk nie dh 6 kali jmpe bomba..3 times kat Malaysian Hall, 1 time during Indonesian Festival at UNSW and twice at Unisyd..Hopefully after this, i wont encounter any more false alarm (or real ones! ) again..Ishk

Indonesian Festival

UNSW held an Indonesian Festival last week..Abg Sam asked us to help him at his stall..Since we've never been to UNSW before, we asked our fren, Saiful (who's a UNSW student) to join us..We were the only Malaysian stall at the festival..The rest of the stalls were Indonesian stalls..We were selling nasi lemak, nasi beriyani, satay and beef murtabak..Rosy and Saiful bakar satay..I, Syafiq and Abang Sam's daughter melayan customers..

When we were selling our food, mcm2 jadi..There was this one Indonesian stall yg jual satay padang, bakar satay and suddenly api die kuat..The committee members had to used a fire extiguisher to put out the fire...But the smoke still triggered the fire alarm system and so the firemen eventually arrived..So bisnes tergendala for 30 minutes..*sigh*

Since Abg Sam is quite famous here, so customers pon berduyun2..unsangkareable..sampai x cukup tgn kiteorg nie nk layan customers..dhla tu, my math is bad, so lembabla nk kire balance nk bg customer..huhu..Our stall light pulak jam, so berniaga dlm gelap..habis langgar sume bende! nk cari coins pon susah! Haihhh..But eventually, the committee members repaired out stall light..There was this one time, my customer's satay and nasi empit jatuh dalam bag yg letak duit..Syafiq, tgh cr coins dlm beg tu and skali die jerit "kenapa ade satay dlm beg nie?!!!" It was hilarious!..Haha! And the stall was so DAMN small! berlaga2 bontot nk serve customer..incident terpeluk pon ade..nasib baik si syafiq je...so i halalkan..haha...

Then our Indonesian customers came to our stall and spoke in Indonesian to me..There was this one Indonesian lady spoke to me:-

The Lady: Ini satay domba ya?

Me: Domba?????

The Lady: Satay Domba ya?

Me: Ermm, ini satay ayam dgn satay kambing

The Lady: Satay Kambing???

Me: Chicken and lamb satay
The Lady: Owh okay..lontongnya ada?
Me: *Blurr*...(Bila pulak kitaorg jual lontong?)
The Lady: (Pointing out at nasi empit) itu lontongnya..
Me: (Owh okay..Nasi empit tu dorunk panggil lontong...pffttt)..

The Lady: Ini satay padang ya?

Me: Padang????

Thankfully Abg Sam mencelah "Ini satay Malaysia bu'..Mmg fail *sigh*

There was another Indonesian customer who asked me:-

The Customer: Itu ikan kecil2 apa ya? 

Me: *Blur again*..Ikan kecil ape?

The Customer: Itu yang kecil2 itu..(sambil tunjuk dgn jari die bentuk ikan kecik tu..pfffttt)

Me: Ikan kecil ape??

The Customer: Ikan kecil..
Syafiq: (Genggam ikan bilis and tunjuk kt Customer) Ikan kecil ini ke?

The Customer: Ya, ikan itu! Itu mkn dgn apa?

Me: Owh, ANCHOVIES (saje je emphasize kat customer tu)..Tu ikan yg letak dlm nasi lemak..
The Customer: owh, kasi nasi lemak satu..

Then ramai lagi Indonesian yg ckp bahasa dorunk dgn i..Yg peleknye, i sorunk je yg kene..org lain tak kene..maybe sbb muke i mcm jawa kot..Ahakz! Our stall sgt laku okay (Thanks to us! ;p)...
